+ Pocket Reduction
Dental pocket reduction surgery, also known as periodontal pocket reduction surgery, is a procedure used to treat gum disease. This type of surgery is performed when bacteria builds up on the surface of a tooth and causes inflammation in the gums. During the procedure, the surgeon will make a small incision on the gums that have become infected or inflamed. They will then remove any plaque or tartar buildup and reshape the bone around the affected area before closing the pocket with stitches. This allows for healthy gum tissue to form and greater access to clean teeth surfaces for improved oral hygiene.
