+ Soft Tissue Grafting

Dental soft tissue grafting is a procedure used to cover areas of exposed roots in the gums caused by gum recession. In this procedure, the Specialist will take a small piece of skin or mucous membrane from another part of your mouth, or they may use donor tissue, and implant it into the area where additional soft tissue is needed. The purpose of dental soft tissue grafting is to reduce sensitivity and improve aesthetics by providing a protective barrier between the root surface and oral bacteria.
